3.1 In the planning phase
Moeller RF sensors (push-buttons, motion detectors, room controllers etc.) can be positioned exactly where they are needed; their use is not restricted to where there is wiring laid. And it is not always possible to mortise or route wiring, e.g. in the case of walls made of glass or wood.
Decentralised installation of the radiocontrolled, mains-powered components offers the additional advantage of a routing function in Comfort Mode. For details, see Chapter 8.2 Greater range through routing.
Combination switching and "Central OFF" functions can be realised quickly and without great planning effort.
3.2 In the configuration
For simple solutions, the Moeller RF system offers quick and simple assignment of the radio-controlled components in "Basic Mode" using a screwdriver.
For more complex systems with numerous sensors and actuators, the socalled "Comfort Mode" with the Moeller radio software (MRF) offers a computerassisted planning aid. The software is an invaluable aid, with graphics of the components, wireless configuration of their functions and interdependencies, support in range planning and quality assessment.
For further information on planning and configuration, see Chapter 8 Successful planning.
3.3 For changes and upgrades
Say goodbye to those unsatisfying and inflexible conventional electrical installations for good! During renovations or for upgrades, make use of the flexibility this system offers. Upgrade existing systems by adding switches exactly where your customer needs them and control functions precisely where the electrical equipment requires it.
Existing installations can be upgraded at any time without having to re-configure already configured devices.
3.4 In the installation phase
The components of the radio-controlled system are robust and therefore easy to handle with no special tools required. They can simply be used alongside conventional electrical installations.
